Antonello Colonna, chef of the Open Colonna in Milan, says this to Adnkronos, commenting on the call of the control room to decide whether to insert, in the next decree of 24 May, the postponement of the curfew from 10 pm to 11 pm and the possibility of keeping the restaurants inside even after 6 pm, without waiting for the date of June 1st. “Certainly we do not need palliatives – states Colonna with conviction – nor half openings or half closures. I would also like some consistency: if we are to be pro-Europeans, we must not be so only with the colors of the traffic lights attributed to the various foods in our agri-food sector. But we must be all the more so with policies for economic recovery. In Europe, but also in Great Britain and the USA, everything is reopening, without too many restrictions, why don’t we do it too? And why must restaurants always be the last to be taken into consideration and therefore to be penalized? I don’t know why over the weekend we were able to witness scenes of full beaches and establishments while in restaurants you go with a dropper ”. “Restaurants are the main economic engine of tourism – he concludes – yet we still have too many constraints compared to other categories. Let’s not forget that this May has gone very badly so far, given that due to bad weather it has often not been possible to dine outdoors ”.
