Covid today Sicily, 1,229 infections: bulletin 17 August

There are 1,229 new coronavirus infections today 17 August 2021 in Sicily, according to data from the latest bulletin. No new deaths. In detail, the new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours on the island are a total of 1,229 out of 26,865 swabs processed, where the current positives rise to 19,949. The island continues to be the first in Italy for new daily infections. The data is contained in the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, from which it emerges that in a single day there were 13 healed while there were no victims (6,148 since the beginning of the health emergency). Of the current positives, 607 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 77 patients are in intensive care. This is the division on a provincial basis of the new cases: 324 in Palermo, 129 in Catania, 225 in Messina, 72 in Ragusa, 89 in Trapani, 65 in Syracuse, 82 in Caltanissetta, 150 in Agrigento and 93 in Enna.
