There are 458 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna according to data from today’s bulletin, August 16. There are 2 more deaths in the last 24 hours. 11,047 swabs have been performed since yesterday. The positivity index is 4.1%. The average age of new positives today is 36.7 years. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Modena with 110 new cases and then Rimini (69) and Bologna (66). Followed by Ferrara (52) and Parma, Ravenna and Reggio Emilia, each with 36 cases. Then the Imolese district (25), Cesena (13), Piacenza (10) and Forlì (5). The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 13,278 (+135 compared to yesterday). Of these, there are a total of 12,894 (+112) people in isolation at home, 97% of the total number of active cases. In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, there have been 13,302 deaths in the region. There are 40 patients admitted to intensive care (+5 compared to yesterday), 344 those in the other Covid departments (+18). On the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 1 in Piacenza (+1 compared to yesterday), 3 in Parma (unchanged), 2 in Reggio Emilia (unchanged), 10 in Modena (+1), 11 in Bologna (+2), 2 in Imola (unchanged), 7 in Ferrara (unchanged), 1 in Ravenna (unchanged), 3 in Rimini (+1). No hospitalization in Forlì and Cesena, while the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues, extended to all citizens over 12 years of age. At 3 pm a total of 5,489,796 doses were administered; out of the total, 2,524,153 people have completed the vaccination cycle.
