Covid Sicily today, 946 infections: August 15th bulletin

There are 946 new coronavirus infections in Sicily according to data from the bulletin today, August 15, 2021. There are another 4 deaths, which bring 6,141 the total deaths on the island since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. Sicily, at risk of the yellow zone, is still the region that today in Italy has registered the highest increase in new cases. Since yesterday, 4,531 molecular swabs and 4,334 rapid swabs have been processed. The figure for hospitalizations in Sicilian hospitals compared to yesterday sees an overall increase of 10 units. 68 people are being treated in intensive care (+3 compared to yesterday). The figure of the healed is 393 people. These are the new cases by province: 71 Agrigento, 115 Caltanissetta, 183 Catania, 25 Enna, 8 Messina, 192 Palermo, 146 Ragusa, 98 Syracuse, 108 Trapani. The total vaccine doses inoculated are 5,420,029.
