There are 67,817 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, July 17, 2022, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also 79 other deaths. There are 297,754 processed swabs, including molecular and antigenic, which show a positivity rate of 22.8%. Ordinary hospitalizations are increasing (+142) while those in intensive care are decreasing (-2). Here are the data, region by region: Emilia Romagna – There are 6,244 new covid infections in Emilia Romagna according to today’s bulletin, July 17. There are also 4 other deaths. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 1,689,574 positive cases have been recorded in the region, 16,900 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 5,821 molecular and 11,079 rapid antigen tests. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 36.9%. There are 4 deaths: 1 in the province of Parma (a 91-year-old woman); 1 in the province of Reggio Emilia (an 87-year-old woman); 2 in the province of Bologna (two women aged 91 and 95). There are no deaths in the provinces of Piacenza, Modena, Ferrara, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena, Rimini and in the Imola district. There are another 3 deaths. The new cases were identified out of a total of 6,933 swabs performed. The healed are +1.213. The total number of pandemic deaths in the region is 2,736. The bulletin also records +897 currently positive, -2 hospitalizations (for a total of 317) and, finally, +2 intensive care (for a total of 16). Sardinia – There are 1,551 new covid infections in Sardinia according to the bulletin today, July 17. There is also another death. 1,496 cases diagnosed as antigenic, 7,121 swabs were processed in total, including molecular and antigenic. The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 10 (+1). Patients admitted to the medical area are 176 (+6). There are 42,119 cases of home isolation (+962).
