Child dead in Sharm, autopsy performed

An autopsy was performed on the body of Andrea Mirabile, the six-year-old boy who died in Sharm el Sheikh while on vacation with his parents in a resort at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Policlinico di Palermo. A first autopsy examination had already been performed in Egypt, where the authorities are investigating to find out the causes of the child’s death. To shed light on the matter, the Public Prosecutor of Palermo also opened a file, after the complaint presented by the associated law firm Giambrone & Partners which assists the family. Today the prosecutor in charge of the investigation has appointed his own technical consultants (a board of experts which includes a coroner, a pathologist and a pediatrician). Instead, Professor Paolo Procaccianti, head of the forensic medicine service of the Policlinico, is the consultant designated by the family of little Andrea. It will take approximately three months for the technical advice to be filed. In the meantime, the restitution of little Andrea’s body to the family has been arranged. The date of the funeral has not yet been disclosed. “The family thanks all those who have shown their affection and closeness with their prayers and continues to ask for silence and respect for their pain”, explains the pool of lawyers who are assisting Rosalia Manosperti and Antonio Mirabile, the father and mother of the baby.
