Palermo, blow to the Porta Nuova district: 18 stops

In Palermo 18 people were arrested for mafia association, an association aimed at drug trafficking, extortion and robbery aggravated by the mafia method. The operation, called ‘Vento’, was triggered at the end of an investigation into the mafia district of Palermo-Porta Nuova. In particular, the carabinieri of the investigative unit of Palermo, thanks to audio and video interception and stalking activities, have reconstructed the organization chart of the Porta Nuova district, identifying the regent, top and gregarious figures.
