A 55-year-old man strangled his wife and then hanged himself in the Brescia area, in Calino di Cazzago San Martino. The carabinieri found the two bodies this morning after an alarmed call from one of the couple’s children, who for days had not been able to contact their parents while on vacation. The carabinieri of the Compagnia di Gardone Val Trompia intervened with the firefighters in the house of the couple, of Balkan origin. The man was found hanged from the railing of the stairs while the woman was sprawled on the stairs, tied to the railing. The investigations by the military, the coroner, coordinated by the prosecutor Alessio Bernardi, made it possible to ascertain that the husband first strangled his wife and then tied her to the railing and immediately after he hanged himself, letting himself fall from the railing of the balcony. To confirm the dynamic, two letters written on the computer, one addressed to the children and the other to the authorities: from these letters it is inferred that at the basis of the murder-suicide there were profound disagreements between the two.
