Given the origin of the air masses, i.e. the interior of the Sahara desert, we will reach the peak of this umpteenth hot wave with temperatures going well beyond the climatic averages with maximum peaks above 35 ° C, especially in the Po Valley , on the inland areas of the two major islands (here it could even exceed 40 ° C) and on part of the Center (39 ° C in Florence and Rome). fresh and unstable at high altitude piloted by a depression centered on Northern Europe, it will cause a rapid storm break over the Alps and the nearby plains of Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto. And that’s not all: between the late evening of Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 July, the descent of cooler currents from north-eastern Europe will cause a real reversal on the weather front, giving way to a configurative release. Given the strong thermal contrasts between the pre-existing air, red-hot from the previous days, and the new one arriving, decidedly cooler, we do not exclude the risk of phenomena even of high intensity with the possibility of local hailstorms and gusts of wind, at first one more time on the Northern regions; then, by Friday 8 July, the worsening will be able to break through towards the central-southern regions, causing thunderstorms, even of strong intensity.
