Rome, a child alone in a parking lot at 3 am

An 8-year-old girl was left alone at 3 am in the parking lot of the second gate of Ostia, on the Roman coast, by her mother who had withdrawn with a man not far away. The little girl was seen by a passer-by who called the carabinieri. Upon arrival of the soldiers, the mother of the minor took action, declaring that she had withdrawn with a man who, in the meantime, had already gone away. The child was taken to the Grassi hospital where, when visited by the pediatrician, she appeared in good general health conditions. The mother was denounced by the Carabinieri for neglect of a minor.
