Case Shalabayeva, Gasparri: “On the law of 2015, I expect an answer to my question from the Interior Ministry”

There is an Italian law that seems to have been “neglected” in the case of Alma Shalabayeva, a story that has blocked the careers of esteemed State Police officers such as Renato Cortese and Maurizio Improta: the law of 7 December 2015 ratifying and executing the agreement between the Italian government and that of Kazakhstan for cooperation in combating – among other things – organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, terrorism, already operational since 5 November 2009, four years before the events, and still in force. Forza Italia senator Maurizio Gasparri spoke of this law in a question presented “a long time ago” and which “has not yet received an answer from the Interior Ministry”. “I have cited international treaties, I have seen an answer cited to some 5-star parliamentarians, but I have not seen the answer to my question. Yet – the Adnkronos tells the Interior Ministry – it takes a second to find me. There are many things that in this affair did not work, the leaders of the State Police acted in full respect of the interests of the State, even the Public Prosecutor of Rome had authorized some acts while the judiciary itself disputes things. The question denounces these contradictions, we will see now if the investigators will be able to remedy what are obvious errors, although in Rome and its surroundings they have recently made mistakes several times “.
