Unhcr: new record of people fleeing in the world

New record of people on the run in the world. The number of people forced to flee their homes has increased every year over the past decade and is now the highest since the record began. According to the annual statistical report of UNHCR Global Trends, at the end of 2021, there were 89.3 million people fleeing war, violence, persecution and human rights violations, an increase of 8 percent compared to the previous year and well over double the figure recorded 10 years ago.
