Shalabayeva case, all acquitted on appeal

(from the correspondent Assunta Cassiano) – All defendants acquitted on appeal in the trial on the expulsion of Alma Shalabayeva and her daughter Alua in 2013. The judges of the Court of Appeal of Perugia with the acquittal sentence pronounced after almost ten hours of the council chamber overturned the first degree verdict for Renato Cortese, Maurizio Improta, policemen Francesco Stampacchia, Luca Armeni, Vincenzo Tramma, Stefano Leoni and the justice of the peace Stefania Lavore. At the reading of the device of the college chaired by Paolo Micheli, all the defendants and many colleagues of the policemen, who had ended up on trial arrived in Perugia from different regions, were present in the courtroom. On the other hand, Alma Shalabayeva, a civil party in the trial, was absent.
