Omicron 5, Pregliasco: “Fourth dose in September with bivalent vaccine”

“In Portugal there is the Omicron 5 variant” of Covid-19, “which has characteristics of greater diffusivity, much more than all the others: more contagious, but less serious. For us it could become a problem in the autumn”. Thus the virologist of the State University of Milan, Fabrizio Pregliasco, guest of ‘A sheep’s day’ on Rai Radio1. How quickly can this variant become dominant here too? “I hope in a few months, at least in September. Of course – said Pregliasco – there will certainly be an increase in the autumn”.
