Cerciello murder, judges in chambers for the sentence

The judges of the first court of assizes entered the council chamber to issue the sentence of the trial on the murder of the deputy brigadier of the carabinieri Mario Cerciello Rega, killed with eleven stab wounds on 26 July 2019 in Rome. For the two defendants, the Americans Finnegan Lee Elder and Christian Gabriel Natale Hjorth, accused of complicity in murder, the prosecutor Maria Sabina Calabretta asked for a life sentence. The family of the deputy brigadier and the widow Rosa Maria Esilio are present in the courtroom. The sentence could come in the evening or tomorrow.
