In Tuscany there are 1,849 new coronavirus infections detected today, May 19, bringing the total to 1,137,293 since the beginning of the emergency. According to the region’s Covid data bulletin, new cases are 0.2% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.2% and reach 1,091,728 (96% of total cases). Today 2,449 molecular swabs and 11,866 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 12.9% were positive. On the other hand, 2,920 subjects were tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding the control swabs), of which 63.3% were positive. The current positives are today 35,538, -1.8% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 401 (3 less than yesterday), of which 15 in intensive care (1 more). There are 1,091,728 people healed overall (2,475 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%): 0 people clinically healed (stable compared to yesterday), that is asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection and 1,091,728 (2,475 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%) declared fully cured, the so-called viral healings, with negative swab. 10,027 died from beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 3,155 in Florence, 833 in Prato, 897 in Pistoia, 654 in Massa Carrara, 941 in Lucca, 1,103 in Pisa, 733 in Livorno, 655 in Arezzo, 533 in Siena, 387 in Grosseto, 136 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region. Tuscan crude mortality rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 271.5 per 100,000 residents against 279.6 for the Italian average (10th region). As for the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (344.5 per 100,000), Florence (316.0) and Prato (314.0), the lowest in Grosseto (177.6).
