“This damned Covid is still circulating, so I think it is right to still keep the masks indoors and indeed, I think it is wrong to remove them from the theaters from June 15, because it is not that Covid ‘stops’ suddenly”. This is the opinion of the actor and director Alessandro Gassmann, a guest of the ‘Riviera International Film Festival’, taking place in Sestri Levante, which is the first film festival to return to full attendance. The Roman actor returns to the theme of masks, which from cinemas – according to the current provisions of the Government – have not yet been eliminated and will be mandatory until June 15. “I have always been very rigid about masks for a lifetime – explains Gassmann – also because I follow what the scientists who deal with them and know their stuff say, they studied for this”. In the summer, observes Gassmann, “we can do what we want, go to restaurants, see films outdoors without a mask, but we must behave responsibly and try to stay safe, so as to continue to have the same freedoms even in Autumn”.
