Hacker attack on the Lazio Region started from abroad, no ‘ransom’ request

The hacker attack that hit the Lazio Regional Ced a few minutes after midnight on Sunday started from abroad. In these hours, the intense investigations of the Postal Service are underway in agreement with the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office. According to what has emerged so far, the attack with cryptolocker ransomware, a malware that is usually used to extort money, in this case would not have brought a ‘ransom’ request. Furthermore, the sensitive data contained in the systems was not affected by the malware. The investigators are at work and with a first report the magistrates will formally open a file where at the moment it is possible to hypothesize abusive access to the computer system, but other cases could be added based on the elements that will emerge from the investigations. The investigations aim to shed light on the origin of the attack and if this is somehow attributable to the no vax galaxy.
