As can be seen in the daily epidemiological bulletin, drawn up by the Region on the basis of information from the Health Promotion Department, 11,703 tests for coronavirus infection were recorded and 232 positive cases were detected: 60 in the province of Bari, 34 in the province of Brindisi, 25 in the Bat province, 36 in the province of Foggia, 32 in the province of Lecce, 42 in the province of Taranto, 2 cases of residents outside the region, 1 case of unknown province of residence. Yesterday the new infections were 248 out of 11,859 swabs. As a result of the recalculation, the total deaths are 6,668. Since the beginning of the emergency, 2,897,563 tests have been carried out. 247,015 patients recovered while yesterday they were 246,971 (+44). Currently positive cases are 2,348 while yesterday they were 2,159 (+189). The hospitalized are 89 while yesterday they were 90 (-1). The total of positive Covid cases in Puglia since the beginning of the emergency is 256,031, divided as follows: 95,809 in the province of Bari; 25,842 in the province of Bat; 20,122 in the province of Brindisi; 45,523 in the province of Foggia; 27,673 in the province of Lecce; 39,802 in the province of Taranto; 853 attributed to residents outside the region; 407 province of residence not known. TUSCANY There are 641 new coronavirus infections today July 31 in Tuscany, according to data from the latest bulletin. There is a new death. The new coronavirus cases recorded on 8,325 molecular swabs and 7,377 rapid antigenic swabs, of which 4.1 percent tested positive. The count of the infected registered since the beginning of the Covid health emergency, more than seventeen months ago, is therefore updated to 251,973. The data is the one found in the daily bulletin that the Region sends to the National Civil Protection at noon and which charts the trend of the epidemic. Excluding the control swabs, 6,868 subjects were tested in the last twenty-four hours: 9.3 percent positive. Therefore, the number of people currently positive for the virus in the region rises to 6,972, +8.2 percent compared to yesterday. The number of hospitalized patients is also growing: 154 (thirteen more than yesterday, plus 9.2 percent), of which 17 are in intensive care (increased by three in twenty-four hours, plus 21.4 percent). There is one death, a 68-year-old man. 109 people have recovered since yesterday: 238,088 increased by 0.05 percent since the beginning of the emergency (94.5 percent of cases). With the death registered today, a 68-year-old man in the province of Massa Carrara, since the beginning of the epidemic the deaths have risen to 6,913.
