Covid today Campania, new De Luca ordinance: rules

The obligation to wear a mask even outdoors has been extended until 31 August in Campania. This is established by the ordinance signed today by the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, which extends the expiring measures and rules relating to the use of personal protective equipment and the sale of alcohol and updates to the directives that will start from 6 August on the territory national provisions relating to shows and controls at Naples Capodichino airport. The ordinance therefore provides from 1st August to 31st August “the obligation to use respiratory protection devices also outdoors in any situation in which interpersonal distancing cannot be guaranteed or when gatherings or crowds occur”. The use of masks “therefore remains mandatory, on the regional territory, in any non-isolated place, for example in urban centers, squares, along the promenades during crowded hours and situations, as well as in lines, queues, markets or fairs and other events , even outdoors, as well as in open-air public transport contexts such as ferries, boats, ships “. The ban on the sale with take-away of alcoholic beverages from 10 pm to 6 am confirmed until August 31 in Campania. throughout the month of August the “sale with take-away of alcoholic beverages, of any strength, by any commercial establishment (including bars, kiosks, pizzerias, restaurants, pubs, wine bars, supermarkets) and with vending machines”; it is also “forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages, of any strength, in public areas and open to the public, including spaces in front of shops, squares, villas and municipal parks”. At bars, “small bars”, wine bars, ice cream parlors, pastry shops, kiosks and itinerant administration establishments, as well as other catering establishments, “the sale of alcoholic beverages, of any strength, is only allowed at the counter or tables”. The ordinance reiterates the prohibition of “crowding or gatherings for the consumption of any food in public places or places open to the public”. The performance of shows, concerts and public events open to the public in Campania will be subject to the definition and adoption “by the competent authorities” of the measures “suitable for avoiding gatherings and other situations of health risk also in the areas adjacent to the place of performance and to ensure the relative controls”. The “measures and specific prescriptions” necessary for the conduct of public events will be “to be individualized on the basis of the concrete characteristics of the places and individual events, suitable for avoiding gatherings and other health risk situations”.
