The Pope expressed his appreciation to the Hungarian premier for the protection guaranteed to Ukrainian displaced persons fleeing the war. This was reported by the Vatican Press Office explaining that the reference to the protection work of Hungary came at the moment in which Bergoglio gave Orban the medallion of San Martino which protects the poor with his cloak.
