A rescuer of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue of the Maniago station fell into the Meduna stream and died. This is Andrea Dal Farra, 46, resident of Vaiont, originally from Erto on his mother’s side. The circumstances of the accident are unclear. The man, an Alpine Rescue technician since 2011, fell from a grate of the stream from a height of only three meters. The fall, however, was fatal, probably due to the impact with a stone. With him was his partner, also from the Alpine Rescue, who immediately rushed into the stream bringing him back to shore and giving him a heart massage to revive him in vain. The woman is in shock. The doctor who arrived on the spot made the ascertainment of death.
