South, Magna Grecia Foundation: three workshops on restart, innovation, tourism and Pnrr

‘Infrastructure and sustainable development’, ‘Culture and territorial marketing’, ‘Human capital and Pnrr’, are the themes that will be addressed on 9, 10 and 11 September in a series of workshops in the Castello Ruffo, in Scilla, Calabria, organized as part of the Magna Grecia Foundation project, ‘South and Future (R) we innovate the South’, Third international meeting. The workshops, as announced yesterday at the press conference, will be preceded on 27 and 28 August by two evenings on the narration of the South, through the stories and experiences of its heroes such as Nicola Gratteri, procurator of Catanzaro, Antonio Nicaso, teacher, expert on mafias and organized crime, but also of artists such as Annalisa Insardà actress, Valentina Balistreri and Marinella Rodà interpreters and researchers of traditional music. On the evening of August 28, Roberto Gallo, virologist, director of the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland, will receive the Magna Grecia Award. The evenings of 27 and 28 August will be followed by the workshops that will start on 9 September on reflections on the post pandemic. Starting again, starting to build new paths for the future, paths that in the South cannot be separated from adequate infrastructures, to bridge the gap of decades between north and south: restart, innovation, infrastructures, sustainable development, corridor 1 Berlin-Palermo passing on the bridge and the technological future energy and communication networks. On 10 September the workshop will focus on tourism, ‘essential for the recovery’, said Prime Minister Mario Draghi. It is therefore necessary to try to identify the fulcrums around which to build the recovery and one of the answers is tourism marketing, with the certainty that today networking is the only possibility to (re) build a recovery quickly. In short, from territorial marketing at zero km, to Culture and myth: the keys to development of the south, Italy can start again from the south and Calabria Emotions, a short film to tell about a region, will be the topics addressed. On Saturday 11 September, at the end of the three days, the theme ‘Human capital and the PNRR. From ‘The most important investment: people’, ‘Resources and projects for the restart’, ‘Employment, young people, women and social security: what future?’ and ‘Smartworking and Southworking: north and south collaborate remotely’ will be the main insights.
