At the Venice Film Festival the docufilm “The seven days of Bergamo”, directed by Simona Ventura

Psc, Proger Smart Communication, the communication company created by Proger spa, an already leading company, made its debut with the film “The seven days of Bergamo”, directed by Simona Ventura, in review at the 78th edition of the Venice Film Festival of the Italian Engineering. For Proger’s CEO, Marco Lombardi, this is not a casual debut, but perfectly consistent with the core business of Proger spa: “The construction of a hospital, the reconstruction of a territory and its post-pandemic relationships, a formidable example of engineering and humanity “. In March 2020, just as the virus was hitting Italy and the province of Bergamo in particular, the only live film during the first Covid wave was made: “A Viso Aperto – Il Docufilm”. And this is how the hospital in Fiera in Bergamo was told for the first time: the hospital of the Alpini. Sergio Rizzini, national head of Alpine Health, who led the construction of the hospital, was then the architect of the project of the new film developed with Ambrogio Crespi, entrusted to the first direction of Simona Ventura. It was possible to preserve a treasure chest of emotions thanks to the images fixed by Giacomo Pellegrinelli who documented with his camera the great treasure of humanity in the days of the tragedy. A humanity that has been able to live and react even with the miracle of the Alpini hospital, a garrison built in just seven days of construction that has allowed us to be able to count on an effective fight against the spread of the pandemic. In the field with the Alpini a co-production by Proger Smart Communication with AddIctive Ideas and SiVe. Directed by Simona Ventura who succeeded in this first work of hers, and for those who know her it is no surprise, to accompany the viewer to the vision of the film with lightness and at the same time sensitivity and depth. Among the authors Giovanni Terzi and Natascia Turato. Alongside Simona Ventura, talented young people, such as Niccolò Crespi with Michele Saulle; to photography Orazio Truglio and Alessandro Arrighi to supervision of works. The film is a fresco that, through about twenty witnesses, tells, in a time jump of 15 months, what the seven days in which the hospital was built represented. It is a tribute to the three “As” who gave back the heart to Bergamo: Alpini, Atalantini and Artigiani. A cavalcade of images and words that ends with a hymn to hope in the sequences in Via Borgo Palazzo, with Simona Ventura and the original music by Tricarico.
