Since 15 June, 29,187 interventions have been carried out by firefighters for forest fires and vegetation in general, 12,787 more than in the same period of 2020. The National Corps air fleet, made up of 15 Canadair and 8 helicopters committed to the forest fire fighting, has so far carried out 891 missions, 3,856 flight hours with 20,891 launches of extinguishing substances. As many as 7,169 interventions in Puglia, 6,790 in Sicily and 2,964 in Calabria: these are the regions most affected by the fires so far.
