Yellow, orange and red zone: rules from 1st August

New rules, measures and new parameters for the yellow zone, orange zone and red zone in Italy from August 1st The colors, explained yesterday the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza after the approval of the decree that modifies the criteria for assigning areas and risk bands to the Regions, are in fact “related containment measures arranged over the months”. A region in the white zone, therefore, “will pass into the yellow zone only when the rate of intensive care will exceed 10% and at the same time the employment rate of the medical area will exceed 15%”, explained the minister. The same regions – he continued – they will be able to move into the orange zone when the rate of intensive care will exceed 20% “and at the same time the medical area will exceed 30%. It will go into the red zone when intensive care will exceed 30% and the medical area will go over 40%. The reason for this change is linked to the fact that we have administered over 63 million doses, the expectation is that there may also be a greater viral circulation without repercussions on hospitalizations ”, he continued.
