Covid today Italy, 4,259 infections and 21 deaths: July 21 bulletin

There are 4,259 new coronavirus infections in Italy today, Wednesday 21 July 2021, according to data – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin. Another 21 deaths have been registered since yesterday, bringing the total deaths since the beginning of the emergency linked to covid-19 to 127,905. In the last 24 hours, 235,097 swabs were performed, with a positivity rate rising to 1.8% (yesterday 1.6%). Yesterday there were 3,558 new cases, with 10 deaths. There is also an increase in the number of people admitted to hospital with symptoms that are 1,196 (+2 compared to yesterday), while 158 are hospitalized in intensive care (-7), with 9 entries in the last 24 hours. 4,118,124 are cured (+ 2,235) and 51,308 are currently positive (+1,998). THE DATA OF THE CAMPANIA REGIONS – There are 292 new coronavirus infections in Campania according to today’s bulletin, 21 July. One death was also recorded. 9.192 the molecular swabs carried out. In the Region there are 13 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care, 175 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards.LAZIO – There are 616 new coronavirus infections in Lazio according to today’s bulletin, 21 July. On the other hand, there are no new deaths. In Rome there are 348 reported infections. On the other hand, there are no new deaths. The new data brings the total of currently positive in the region to 7,782 (they were 4,574 at the beginning of the month). The total of positive cases thus becomes 368,071, of which 29,719 Alessandria, 17,543 Asti, 11,557 Biella, 53,116 Cuneo, 28,400 Novara, 196,920 Turin, 13,777 Vercelli, 13,013 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 1,510 residents outside the region, but in the care of Piedmont health facilities.
