Covid today Emilia Romagna, 200 infections: July 16 bulletin

There are 200 coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, July 16, 2021, according to data from the region’s bulletin. There have been no deaths since yesterday. The new cases were identified on 19,854 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 1%. Of the newly infected, 46 are asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, among the new positives 52 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 90 were identified within already known foci. The average age of the new positives today is 30.4 years. Of the 46 asymptomatic, 24 were identified thanks to the contact tracing activity, 14 through the tests for the risk categories introduced by the Region, 2 through the pre- recovery. The epidemiological investigation is still underway for 6 cases. There are 15 patients admitted to intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday), 148 those in the other Covid departments (+8). The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 2,358 (+102 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, i.e. those with mild symptoms who do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, total 2,195 (+93), 93.1% of the total number of active cases. 7,578 molecular swabs were carried out, for a total of 5,107,674. In addition to these, there are also 12,276 rapid swabs. As for the total people healed, they are 98 more than yesterday and reach 372,646.
