Waste, no landfill areas in Rome: yes it goes towards Magliano

There are no “white areas”, suitable for the construction of landfills, in the territory of the Municipality of Rome. And what emerges from the maps of the Metropolitan City of Rome, presented today during the technical panel convened by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, which was also attended by the Lazio Region and Rome Capital. As far as we know, the Mite has taken note that the only white areas are in Magliano Romano. The new landfill will therefore be built in the province. In Magliano Romano, among other things, there is a plant for which authorization has already been requested and a conference of services in the Region has already been opened. the short term, that a survey of all the procedures open in the Region is made, in order to speed up or unblock them. As reiterated yesterday by the mayor Virginia Raggi – who in the meantime signed the urgent order for the reopening of the Albano landfill – for the Municipality it is necessary to authorize all the existing plants, including the Colleferro landfill, also given the imminent closure of the landfill of Civitavecchia: at that point, in addition to Albano, the only landfill in Viterbo would remain at the service of all the municipalities of Lazio.
