Thunderstorms, hail and stop in the heat on Italy: what will the weather be like

A cyclonic vortex from France is sweeping over Italy with all its load of storms and hailstorms. The vortex will linger over the country at least for the whole week. The team of the site www.iLMeteo.it informs that since the early hours of Tuesday strong thunderstorms will hit the Northwest, especially Piedmont and Val d’Aosta, but during the day the bad weather will extend to the rest of the North and also to Tuscany, Umbria and up to the gates of the Marche. Together with thunderstorms there will be hailstorms, sometimes exceptional, and sudden strong gusts of wind and more rarely tornadoes. The fresh air that feeds the vortex will cause temperatures to drop, which will drop about 10 ° C compared to these days. In the following days, the depression center will move slowly towards the Center and then at the weekend it will also reach the South. The atmosphere will become, day after day, gradually more unstable not only in the North, but also in the Center-South with new waves of storms at times very strong and which could cause localized storms with sudden flooding. After leaving the northern regions, the African heat will also leave the Center and from Thursday 15 also the South.
