Car-motorcycle collision during European celebrations, one dead and 4 injured in the Catania area

A 19-year-old, Giuseppe Di Martino, died and four people were injured last night in a car accident in Caltagirone. A car belonging to a security company, two scooters and a motorcycle were involved in the clash. According to an initial reconstruction of the investigating police, everyone was heading towards the city center to celebrate Italy’s victory at Euro 2020. The impact occurred not far from the ‘Gravina’ hospital, where the four injured were immediately brought. None of them are life threatening.
