Lecce, rave party with 350 people interrupted

An unauthorized rave party was discovered and interrupted by the police this morning in the locality of ‘San Cataldo’, in the countryside near Lecce, not far from the sea. The police headquarters of Lecce with public order service set up intervened to remove the participants. In the services, crews of the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza of Lecce were employed, which despite the institutional services already provided, have nonetheless coped with the new situation. On the spot, 350 people were identified, 40 vehicles were checked and the organizers were identified by the Flying Squad and Digos. All operations were videotaped by personnel of the Scientific Police of Lecce. The young participants in the rave had also arrived yesterday evening from other provinces, in particular from neighboring ones. The viability of the area was taken care of by the local police of Lecce who with a crew avoided difficulties in the traffic of affluence at the beaches while the evacuation operations were in progress. The owner of the farm where the young people had gathered could be identified in the next few hours.
