Rome, accident in Casalpalocco: one dead and three injured

Serious road accident this morning in Casalpalocco, Rome. Around 6.30 this morning intervention by the Local Police, X Gruppo Mare, in via del Canale della Lingua at the intersection with via Cristoforo Colombo. Two cars collide, a Smart For Four and a Ford Ka. Following the impact, a man, whose identity is still under investigation, died, while 3 other people were injured and transported in red code to the Grassi hospital in Ostia and subsequently transferred to San Camillo. Both the victim and the 3 injured were on board the Smart, which was traveling in the direction of Rome. While the woman driver of the Ford Ka, coming from via del Canale della Lingua, did not suffer injuries but, in pain, was transported to the hospital for medical examinations of the case. On the spot, in addition to the patrol that is carrying out the surveys, another 4 units of the white helmets arrived for the provisional closure of the central lane of Via C. Colombo and for the consequent traffic diversions. The road will be reopened at the end of the scientific surveys, still in progress, by the agents of the X Group, directed by the manager Guido Càlzia, who have been at work since this morning to reconstruct the exact dynamics of what happened.
