Migrants, another landing in Lampedusa: hotspot in trouble

Another landing in the night in Lampedusa. A small boat carrying 30 Tunisians, including 2 women, was intercepted by a patrol boat of the Port Authority about 8 miles southwest of the island. The migrants were transhipped and the boat left adrift. After a first sanitary triage at the Favaloro pier, they were taken to the hotspot of the Imbriacola district, where, despite the transfers arranged by the Prefecture, the presences remain above 650. Yesterday 103 people arrived on the largest of the Pelagie with sixteen total landings, including 28 women and 4 minors.
