Ukraine, from tomorrow access to Russian ships in Italian ports will be banned

The Ukraine-Russia war also passes through our sea. From tomorrow access to national ports will be forbidden to Russian-flagged ships and to those that have changed their flag from Russian to any other nationality after February 24th. This is what is established in a circular of the General Command of the Port Authorities, which transposes the EU regulation of 8 April last “concerning restrictive measures in consideration of the actions of Russia that destabilize the situation in Ukraine”. Circular of the General Command of the Coast Guard, will not be applied in cases of ships that need an emergency stop in port for maritime safety reasons and of people in danger at sea.
