Waste traffic, 6 arrests: compromised water table in the Como area

Six people were arrested between the provinces of Milan and Como for environmental pollution and illegal trafficking of special waste. According to the investigators, “over time they have spilled enormous quantities of waste, at least 85,000 cubic meters of material, in an agricultural area of ​​the Canturino subject to double constraints, environmental and landscape, compromising the ecosystem where important local aquifers wind”. Trucks, excavation machines and land for more than 4.7 hectares seized.
