Frosinone Fine Arts Academy, Loredana Rea confirmed as director

Loredana Rea was elected for the second term at the head of the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone. His was the only candidacy, but despite the certainty of the result, 31 professors out of 34 entitled to go to the polls. Three of them were absent due to academic commitments outside the Academy. The result was thirty votes in his favor, with a blank ballot. Under his guidance, there were thirteen courses and seven hundred and fifty students (748 to be precise), of which three hundred came from foreign countries. In particular, from China, Iran, Vietnam, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey and Spain. In Frosinone we then study Contemporary Sacred Art, Communication and enhancement of the artistic heritage, Decoration, Fashion Design, Graphic Art, Graphic Design art for illustration, Graphic Design, Audiovisual Languages, Media Art, Painting, Painting – Public Art, Scenography and Sculpture. These are three-year and two-year specialized courses, except for Sacred Art and Audiovisual Languages, which are only present with the three-year period because they have been recently opened, precisely to complement an already complete offer. Courses followed in the two offices in Frosinone, in Palazzo Tiravanti and in Largo Sant’Antonio, but also in the Ferentino office, where the goldsmithing and ceramic technique workshops are particularly active. “The future is in the sign of creativity”, Professor Rea has repeatedly stressed that she will begin this new three-year period of work in the name of continuity and keeping in mind the strengthening of the role of the Academy on the territory but also the consolidation of international openness. “With the determination to continue to grow in the awareness of representing an essential point of reference, as a place of artistic training and cultural production, where the future of the youngest conquers their awareness.” Loredana Rea is convinced: “Starting from the results achieved, it is essential to launch new strategies, with investments in research projects prepared jointly to make the guidelines and coordination lines more functional, which from teaching to strengthen relations with the outside world ». It is also necessary “to consolidate the already institutionalized relationships and activate new memoranda of understanding with foundations, museum organizations, Italian and foreign universities, embassies and cultural institutes abroad will continue to allow meetings, comparisons, exchanges and opportunities for cultural development, in which everyone can define the terms of their commitment “. The idea is also to activate first and second level masters, designed to intercept the ever increasing demand for specialization in the areas of higher artistic education, and summer courses, also designed for international users. “In line with what has been implemented in the last three years, without neglecting the centrality of teaching, the Academy of Frosinone will continue with projects and collaborations to feed the consolidation of its centrality in the construction of a wide cultural offer to the reference territory, to continue its action and propose itself as a research laboratory, in which the methodological and linguistic experiments of those who have chosen art as a profession and life practice can take shape ».
