Covid Israel, Pfizer less effective with Delta variant

The Pfizer vaccine is less effective with the spread of the Delta variant. This is what emerges from the data of the Israeli Ministry of Health on the immunization campaign in the country. The numbers indicate that the effectiveness in preventing new symptomatic cases of Covid has dropped by 30% compared to 94% last May. Pfizer protects, however, against serious cases and hospitalization.
