Pope Francis hospitalized at Gemelli

The Pope is hospitalized at the Gemelli in Rome to be operated on. “The Pope will undergo a scheduled surgery for a symptomatic diverticular stenosis of the colon,” Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said. The surgery will be performed by Professor Sergio Alfieri.
