After Veneto, which is in first place (with the AAA rating), all of the Southern Italian regions are the most ‘virtuous’ in spending on public transport. It emerges from the special ranking prepared for Adnkronos by the Administrative Gazette of the Italian Republic, as part of the ‘Pitagora’ project, which examines the costs incurred in 2020 by Regions and provincial capitals (on the website www.adnkronos.com all the tables and figures of the report). It turns out that the overall AA rating is awarded to Sicily (with an expense of € 424,857,759.28 for public transport service contracts and € 24,593.40 for rental of means of transport) and Calabria (with a expense of 191,713,721.17 euros for service contracts and 18,794.28 for rental of vehicles). And they get a decent A Campania (with a cost of 735,120,243.59 euros for service contracts and 16,972.43 euros for rental of vehicles) and Basilicata (with a cost of 39,306,082.30 euros for service and € 27,256.64 for vehicle rental). In the middle, in the ranking of the Regions, there are Abruzzo and Lazio with the overall BBB rating; with BB Liguria, Puglia and Tuscany; with the B Umbria; the Marche region comes up behind with the overall C, while Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Molise, Piedmont, Sardinia, Trentino Alto Adige and Valle d’Aosta are not comparable in the final rating.
