Mobile telephony, spending boom in Piedmont

A phone call extends the life, but also the cost items in the bill. This is the case of the Piedmont Region which, according to data processed by the Research Center of the Gazzetta Amministrativa Foundation, spent 503,814 euros in mobile phone bills for its facilities in 2020. A figure that, although down compared to the 555,950 euros spent in 2019, is still considered “out of control” by the Gari Foundation, which, as part of the ‘Pitagora’ project, has created a rating of public spending by the Italian regions for Adnkronos. Piedmont was assigned the lowest rating, namely the ‘C’ rating, as far as mobile telephone costs are concerned. The performance of Emilia Romagna is also considered excessive compared to the reference parameters (425,995 euros), which in fact gets a ‘B’. In the list of the most ‘efficient’ regions, awarded with an ‘AAA’ rating, we find: Abruzzo, which in 2020 spent only 12,345 euros on mobile phone calls; Calabria (15.006 euros); Lazio (€ 41,056); Lombardy (€ 87,898). Liguria (25,129 euros) and Puglia (63,316 euros) also did well, to which the Gazzetta Amministrativa Foundation assigns a double ‘A’.
