Puglia, illegal trafficking of special waste: arrests and seizures

An illicit trafficking in special waste, in particular milled asphalt, which involved the provinces of Foggia, Bat, Bari and Brindisi, was discovered by the ecological operational unit of the carabinieri of the Apulian capital who arrested two entrepreneurs of the Foggia area, while a third was subject to the residence obligation, and seized two waste treatment plants, attributable to them, located in Lucera (Foggia) and Modugno (Bari). The precautionary measures were issued by the investigating judge of the Bari Court at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
