“The adoption of bodycam for policemen and carabinieri is, in my opinion, a very positive thing: the more tools you have to get to know the truth, the better it is for everyone. And maybe policemen and carabinieri will do better things and not bad actions like in the past. Knowing they are seen, maybe they will behave more judiciously. ” Guido Magherini, father of Riccardo, who died in the street in Florence on March 3, 2014 due to cardiocirculatory arrest after being handcuffed by the carabinieri, thus comments to the Adnkronos the green light to equip the police in public order with a thousand cameras to record every their action. “The European Court of Human Rights has recently opened a proceeding following the appeal presented by us – he explains – asking the Italian State for clarification on an intervention deemed inappropriate. They have until April 27 to respond, we’ll see”. (by Silvia Mancinelli)
