Weather, from Thursday 20 winter returns: frost and snow on Italy

The stable and sunny weather of this start of the week should not be misleading: starting from Thursday 20 January the winter cold returns, then by the weekend snow will fall again on some regions. Stefano Ghetti, Meteorologist of iLMeteo.it, announces that the presence of a vast anticyclone over Italy will still guarantee 48 hours of mostly stable and sunny weather; the only discordant notes will be recorded on the northern plain areas and on some internal sectors of the Center, where the mists will once again be the protagonists. Starting from Thursday, the meteorological scenario is destined to change due to the influx of more humid currents that will give rise to scattered rainfall on the central regions and on the Tyrrhenian sectors of the South, while in the North the fog will still persist on many sections of the plain. By the weekend, however, a sharp and cold worsening is expected especially on the central Adriatic side and most of the southern regions. also some snowfall up to very low altitudes especially on the reliefs of the Center and at slightly higher altitudes on those of the South. Center: many clouds over northern Tuscany, clear skies elsewhere. In the south: sunny Wednesday 19: In the north: fog over the Po Valley, sun prevailing elsewhere. Center: alternation between clouds and bright spells, in an always stable context. In the south: all sun. Thursday 20: In the north: light rains in the northeast. Middle: scattered rainfall over all regions. Snow above 1000 meters. In the south: more unstable in Sicily and Campania, with scattered rains. Lots of clouds but drier elsewhere.
