Agata Scuto, who disappeared 10 years ago: his mother’s ex-partner arrested

The carabinieri of Acireale, in the Catania area, arrested a 62-year-old man, a former cohabitant of Agata Scuto’s mother, the 22-year-old who disappeared from home on 4 June 2012. The 62-year-old must answer for the murder and concealment of the body of Agate whose body was never found. The man, the Catania prosecutor accuses him, “had established a particular relationship with the girl”, “provided false information about her movements” and “tried to pollute the evidence”. The 62-year-old intercepted in the car, while speaking to himself, would have expressed the fear that the body of the girl, who had been strangled and burned, could be found.
