Turin, gagged old woman beaten and kidnapped at home: 3 arrests

Gagged, blindfolded, beaten and kidnapped at home, in the center of Turin. It is the ugly adventure experienced last October by a 74-year-old woman who was attacked and robbed of luxury watches, pearl necklaces, gold and silver. Now the carabinieri have carried out a precautionary measure, issued by the investigating judge at the request of the prosecutor, against 3 people, held responsible for complicity in home robbery, aggravated personal injury and kidnapping. The alarm was raised by the same victim who had called 112 after freeing herself. At the hospital, the woman had been medicated and discharged with a prognosis of 14 days for various bruises all over her body. The public and private video surveillance images of the neighborhood, the analysis of telephone traffic and the technical – scientific investigations on the seized material, made it possible to identify the perpetrators of the robbery.
