Journalist Marcello Lambertini Padovani passed away. The condolences of Stampa Romana

Almost 90 years old Marcello Lambertini Padovani, one of the princes of the judicial news and director for two years of the Roman daily “Il Tempo”, which he led from 21 March 1991 to 6 March 1993, has passed away; he was also president of the Chroniclers Romani Syndicate between 1973 and 1975. This is how Stampa Romana remembers him: “He was with Francobaldo Chiocci and Gianni Letta one of the oldest survivors of the Piazza Colonna newspaper. He was an honest journalist and purebred chronicler”. The former prince of crime news and the Roman judiciary (together with Mario Sarzanini, Roberto Martinelli, Giuseppe Rosselli and Guido Guidi) died at the Gemelli polyclinic. He entered the Wedekind palace back in 1958, when the legendary founder Renato Angiolillo was at the helm of the Roman sheet. After leaving Tempo at the age of 63, Lambertini went to direct Polipress, the news agency that supplied the three newspapers of the Monti-Riffeser group. Marcello Lambertini Padovani leaves his wife Carla and their two children Paola and Riccardo.
