Piacenza, 4 young people found dead in the car in the Trebbia river

Four young people were found dead in the car in the Trebbia river, in a rural area of ​​Calendasco. A man alerted the Piacenza firefighters when he saw the car emerge from the river, without being sure that there were people inside. The firefighters intervened immediately and, taking the car out of the water, they found the four lifeless bodies, delivered to the medical aid. Investigations are underway to understand the dynamics of the accident. “One of the greatest tragedies of the last twenty years because it involved four young twenty-year-olds who lost their lives”. Mayor Filippo Zangrandi tells the Adnkronos. “I have been there until now – continues Zangrandi – to express closeness to the community and to these four Piacentine families, one of which from Calendasco and it was heartbreaking”. Together with the mayor, the authorities, the parents and relatives of the victims and representatives of the institutions were present on the spot. “The activities – concludes the mayor – are proceeding. The coroner has just arrived for the advancement of the investigation and to make it possible to move the corpses”.
