Covid today Abruzzo, 4,808 infections and 1 death: bulletin 6 January

There are 4,808 coronavirus infections registered today, January 6, in Abruzzo, according to the bulletin with Covid data from the Region. Of today’s positives, 3,670 were identified by rapid antigen testing. There is 1 new death (it is an 86 year old from the province of L’Aquila), which brings the total death toll to 2655. 248 patients (+22 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 24 (unchanged compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 37705 (+4640 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the last 24 hours, 6519 molecular swabs and 30896 antigenic tests were performed for a positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigenic tests of the day, equal to 12.85%. The number of positive cases also includes 88268 discharged / cured ( +144 compared to yesterday). The currently positives in Abruzzo (calculated by subtracting the number of discharged / cured and deceased from the total of positives) are 37977 (+4662 compared to yesterday). Of the total positive cases, 28942 are resident or domiciled in the province of L’Aquila ( +781 compared to yesterday), 34487 in the province of Chieti (+1520), 31092 in the province of Pescara (+1021), 31663 in the province of Teramo (+1184), 1539 outside the region (+135) and 1177 (+166) for which provenance checks are in progress.
