Covid Italia, “hospitalized children almost doubled in 7 days”

In one week (December 28 – January 3) the covid admissions of pediatric patients almost doubled, recording a surge of 86%. This is what emerges from the latest report of the sentinel hospitals of the Italian Federation of health and hospital companies (Fiaso). In the 4 pediatric hospitals and in the pediatric wards of the sentinel hospitals, the number of children hospitalized has increased from 66 to 123 and the number of children in intensive care has tripled from 2 to 6 in one week.
